As climate change intensifies, protecting Western Australia's water resources is more critical than ever. Water Corporation, in collaboration with The Brand Agency, launched the ‘Shaping WA’s Water Future’ platform to inspire collective action and highlight the essential role water plays in daily life.

CHALLENGE
As climate change accelerates, safeguarding water resources becomes increasingly urgent. Water Corporation sought to strengthen its connection with the people of Western Australia, emphasising their role as both customers and stewards of this vital resource. The challenge? Inspire collective action by showcasing water’s essential role in daily life and the need for long-term conservation efforts.

SOLUTION
To address this, Water Corporation launched the ‘Shaping WA’s Water Future’ platform in collaboration with The Brand Agency. This initiative aligns with the organisation’s Thrive35 corporate strategy, marking a transformative shift in how water conservation is communicated.

The campaign highlights Water Corporation’s commitment to working alongside nature, the people of WA, and the traditional custodians of the land, who hold over 60,000 years of water wisdom. It explores the profound relationship between water and the environment—how it has shaped landscapes, sustained ecosystems, and influenced everyday life.

Creatively, the campaign harnesses a multi-sensory approach. A custom-composed orchestral track symbolises the harmony of communities uniting around water conservation. The campaign’s signature audio sting extends this connection, reinforcing brand recall and optimism. Visually, a new design element—an abstract water droplet—frames individuals within the campaign, emphasising that every Western Australian plays a role in this shared water story. This design pays homage to Water Corporation’s heritage, drawing inspiration from the outer layer of its logo as a nod to its past while forging ahead with its vision for the future.

By uniting communities, traditional custodians, and nature, this initiative aims to drive awareness and long-term behavioural change toward securing WA’s water future.
